Can I start with a smaller setup and expand later?

Yes, the system is designed to be modular so you can change the configuration easily - for when you need more storage, or when you need less.

What is the MOLLE option used for?

MOLLE panels can be added to the underside of each of the 3 panels of the gear shelf and to the underside of the optional articulating shelf for additional points of attachment for gear/tools.

What are the L-track mounting holes used for?

The L-Track system was chosen for maximum flexibility and functionality of your storage space. L-Track is a standardized modular cargo track system which accommodates a variety of rings, hooks & attachment accessories made for L-track systems. All L-Track accessories can typically be moved in 1-inch increments & attached, moved or removed in seconds.

Is the GearUp Cargo Rack made of steel or aluminum?

The GearUp Cargo Rack System is made completely of powder-coated aluminum for its lightweight strength & durability.

How does it ship?

The system is designed to come apart and ship completely flat to save on shipping costs.

Does it block access to the cargo area?

Depending on how you configure your setup, cargo area access can be affected. If you install just one or two panels, your access to the lower cargo area from the backseat will be less restricted than with all three panels, however access from the rear of the vehicle will still be open. Adding the articulating shelf or the optional headache rack would partially or fully block access, but again, only from the backseat, not the rear of the vehicle.
